Singapore, 22 April 2025
Singapore’s tourism industry is poised for a record-breaking year in 2025, with the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) projecting 17 million to 18.5 million international visitors—approaching the 2019 peak of 19.1 million. Tourism receipts are also expected to reach S$29 billion to S$30.5 billion, potentially setting a new all-time high.
Strong Demand from Regional Markets
Visitor arrivals have surged, led by travelers from China, India, and Indonesia. The recently introduced 30-day mutual visa waiver between China and Singapore has further accelerated inbound tourism from mainland China, which saw a 126% increase in 2024 alone.
New Attractions and Events Drive Growth
Singapore’s appeal continues to expand with new infrastructure developments, including the upcoming Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Tree, the Marina Bay Sands expansion, and a packed calendar of regional concert tours and large-scale events. These attractions are drawing short-stay visitors and experience-driven travelers from across Asia.
Sustainability and Seamless Connectivity
With Changi Airport’s seat capacity now at 98% of pre-COVID levels and a growing commitment to sustainable practices—like the 2026 rollout of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) mandates—Singapore is positioning itself as both a responsible and well-connected destination.
